Driving Directions from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport:
  • Exit the airport
  • Follow signs to I-85 North
  • Follow I-85 North to downtown Atlanta
  • Exit 248C/International Blvd. (second traffic light on the exit ramp)
  • Turn left onto Andrew Young International Blvd.
  • Proceed until Andrew Young International Blvd ends, and turn left onto Centennial Olympic Park Dr.
  • At the second traffic light, turn right onto Marietta St.
  • Georgia World Convention Center is one block on the left

Terminal Complex:

The Terminal complex measures 130 acres (52.6 hectares), or 5.8 million square feet. The complex includes the Terminal building and Concourses T, A, B, C, D, and E – the International Concourse. Within these Concourses, there are 151 domestic and 28 international gates. The Airport is free of any architectural barriers to people with disabilities.

People Mover:
The Airport's underground, automated people mover connects all concourses with the Terminal and consists of nine, four-car trains operating on a 3.5 mile loop track. The time between trains is approximately two minutes.
Getting There:

Taxis, airport shuttles and MARTA light rail are the most popular modes of transportation from the airport.

  • Taxi fares start from $26-$35 (subject to change without notice)
  • One-way airport shuttle fares start from $26-$35 (subject to change without notice)
  • MARTA light rail is available for under $5 for transportation from the airport to the Georgia World Congress Center Station (note: riding the MARTA to this station requires changing trains at the Five Points Station, please reference the MARTA transportation maps for details)

Hartsfield-Jackson has now implemented a new Airport Information and Ground Transportation Center conveniently located in the arrival's lobby. The Center provides assistance to travelers requesting information pertaining to transportation services before they leave the terminal building.

The Atlanta Link

 

The exclusive shuttle operator at the airport that serves Downtown, Midtown and Buckhead. The Shuttles Departs from the South Baggage Claim, exit Door S6 and cross the street to the middle island. Our regular fares to Downtown are $16.50 (1 way), & $29.00 (roundtrip), Midtown $18.50 & $33.00 and Buckhead $20.50 & $37.00.

The shuttle leaves the airport approximately every 15 minutes from 6am-12am. (Wait time may be incurred at the airport prior to departure and each vehicle may make additional stops prior to your destination.)

Additional Ground Transportation Details:

Thirty shuttle services offer door-to-door and on-demand pickup service in the Atlanta metropolitan area and bordering states. Vans carry seven to 14 passengers and depart every 15 minutes within the metropolitan area, and every 30 minutes for all other areas. Hartsfield-Jackson’s taxi loading zone is located within the Ground Transportation Center just west of the Terminal South baggage claim area. The Airport houses 11 rental car agencies with free shuttle service to and from the Airport. The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) is located on the west end of the Terminal between Terminal North and South baggage claim areas. The Airport Information and Ground Transportation Center offers the convenience of arranging your transportation to the downtown Atlanta, Midtown and Buckhead areas through our exclusive contractor Atlanta Link. In addition, you may arrange your limo and sedan transportation needs by requesting the service through Hartsfield-Jackson’s Host Volunteer or Customer Service Representative Booth located next to Atlanta Link.

Cargo Facilities:
There are three main air cargo complexes, North, Midfield and South, a Perishables Complex and an Equine Complex. The total on-airport air cargo warehouse space measures two million square feet.
Concessions:

There are more than 200 concession outlets throughout the airport, including 89 food and beverage, outlets, 85 retail and convenience outlets and 55 staffed service outlets covering approximately 209,000 square feet.
