Michael Negrón

Michael J. Negrón focuses on leadership development, executive coaching, diversity initiatives and workshop facilitation, and select services to the nonprofit sector.  Past projects have included work with Verizon, Procter & Gamble, Aetna, Priceline.com, McGraw-Hill, Cendant, Otis Elevator, The Travelers, Hispanics in Philanthropy, the Latino Endowment Fund and NSHMBA. 

He has over 20 years of corporate and operational experience, including with a division of CBS, European-based manufacturer, and CT-based Fortune 500.  Assignments included Director of International Finance, 4 year expansion project in Puerto Rico, and Mergers & Acquisition work in Latin America and Europe.

In 2005, Michael served as the Interim CEO of NSHMBA during a significant transitional period for this premiere membership association.  He is certified in Emotional Intelligence and Resiliency 360 Multi-Rater Assessments, and Leadership Competencies workshops.

Michael currently serves on the Boards of United Way, NextGenLeaders (PeaceJam affiliate), and Dreaming with Cameras.  He has served on the Boards of Casa Otoñal, Progreso Latino Fund, Rotary and NSHMBA.  Michael holds an MBA from St. John's, and Bachelor's from Baruch College. He and his wife live in Guilford, CT and their two sons are in New York pursuing their careers.  Finally, he is an avid NY Mets fan and loves photography.

Michael has worked on a several successful leadership development and diversity initiatives, including multi-year projects with a Fortune 50 Telecom and a Fortune 50 Consumer Marketer.  In addition, he has led or co-facilitated Employee Resource/Affinity Groups initiatives on teambuilding, strategic planning and focus groups.  Over the past 5 years, he has conducted over 300 coaching sessions with multicultural high potential talent.
