IAJGS 2010 Conference Program

Welcome to the preliminary schedule of presentations, lectures, workshops, computer labs, breakfasts and luncheons for 2010. This schedule is subject to change or modification over the next few weeks.

For those of you new to the IAJGS Conference:

  • BOF: Birds-of-a-Feather meetings are where participants network with others who share similar interests in towns, regions, subject matter or hobbies.

  • SIG: Special Interest Groups focus on a specific geographic area and sponsor business meetings and presentations pertaining to these areas, emphasizing the latest research updates. Many have an Internet presence on JewishGen.org.

Programs with a "$" preceding the title are optional fee-based items and can be purchased on the registration page. These are:

  • Regional Special Interest (SIG) Group Luncheons: network with your landsleit and enjoy delicious cuisine along with presentations covering the SIG's area of research

  • Breakfast with the Experts: early risers gather to break bread and learn from experts in a particular field of research or region of genealogical interest. Usually an expert at each table facilitates expanded Q & A.

  • Midnight with the Mavens: night owls will enjoy late night munchies with an eclectic group of speakers, experts and know-it-alls. A chance to pose questions and trade theories with a small, but lively group. Kibitzing encouraged.

  • Computer classes: hands-on opportunities to learn from superb teachers in a small classroom setting. Please note the range from beginner through advanced, and pick your class according to your abilities. All levels and topics will be offered, but these have limited seating and fill up quickly.

These options are a click away on the registration page. If you have already registered, you can return to registration and add selections by logging back in to the "Attendee Service Center" (on the "Registration" drop-down menu). Use your email and the password provided in your original confirmation email to access your existing registration.
