Who Is IPI?

Founded in 1962, the International Parking Institute is a trade organization whose members include parking, transit and planning professionals from cities, colleges, universities, hospitals, airports, port authorities, civic centers, theme parks, corporate complexes, race tracks, convention and sports centers, state and federal government agencies, commercial parking operators and more. Our membership market is rounded out with manufacturers and suppliers of products and equipment, as well as services provided by professional planners and consultants, architects, and private engineers. IPI is the professional link that connects these markets.
